Multiverse

You are living in a pond. You are one of those fishes with eyes on either side and all you know is the underwater world of sediment, vegetation and your fellows fishes swimming around you. The sunlight comes in, dimmed and refracted through the water. You go about your life convinced that your liquid world is all there is, because it’s all that you can experience. However, they do exist some entirely different worlds outside.

And yes, creating a mental universe, as did William Shakespeare, or exploring new galaxies means simply revealing already existing worlds. The poet, the painter, the astronaut, the photographer just operates like a medium, opening a door for the rest of us. More powerful than words, a painting or a picture keeps our eyes wide opened.
